A highly anticipated sequel, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron has become the biggest thing since the last Xbox 360 game introduced. It hasn’t measured up to its predecessor just yet, but there is still time. This game has a great new storyline and new characters, a multiplayer approach, and quite a few other benefits. We are getting our first real glimpse of this game, and we like it.
The Autobots and Decepticons have been intertwined, battling over control of Cybertron. However, the animosity between the groups is not what it used to be. The focus is now on a bigger, single player campaign.
Starting with the Decepticon attack on a bridge, you can switch between helicopters and jets. You attack targets from a distance using well designed missiles, and then you can switch over to robot form. The switches are virtually seamless.
Then comes Bruticus, the product of 5 Decepticons who have combined and transformed into one serious beast. You can be like Godzilla moving through Tokyo, crushing everything in sight and eliminating bridges and anything else that might stand in your way.
Then we get Jazz. Thanks to his laser whip, he moves very quickly, allowing him to grab ledges and save himself from harm. Considering the accuracy of Decepticon snipers, you will need it. You can avoid headshots and ultimately destroy your enemy if you know how to play the game right.
Finally, you get Optimus Prime. You can electrocute your enemies and turn them into piles of garbage, virtually sludge. He commands a huge autobot named Metroplex and leads him to further destroy the trash you have created. It’s an amazing sight and pretty much seamless. Metroplex works to trash everything in sight, allowing you to maintain and continue your ground attack without interruption.
If you are looking for a new game to play, you only have so many to choose from. The Xbox in all of its forms is changing, and games are changing with it. Some eras are coming to an end while others are just beginning. Either way, this game continues to be popular in a new era of gaming.
If you don’t play the Xbox 360, you obviously won’t know, and you probably won’t be reading this blog. However, for the rest of us, there are always games that are especially popular, spreading themselves around the circuit at lightning speed. Sometimes, it’s big games and new editions we have seen before, and sometimes these games come from out of nowhere. However, whatever the circumstances, here are the top 5 for 2011.
It was recently introduced that Gears of War 3 is coming to a store near you on December 13th. The new campaign is related to Blockbuster, and it stars new characters that are eerily similar to some of the old characters that we’re used to. This new game will give you more than 3 hours of gameplay in a storyline that comes before the first Gears of War. We’re backtracking a little, but we are also getting better graphics and better characters for a new type of war.
Finally, the UFC will be brought into the world of the Xbox. You can experience the energy of the Octagon like never before, controlling the players and getting all of the fight excitement in one. With pay per view events in stunning high definition and access to a library of fighter stats, weigh-ins, interviews, and more about every major UFC player, it delivers a memorable experience.
